This newly created prize provides financial assistance
to graduate students whose dissertation topics deal with aspects of
American history that extend beyond U.S. borders. The fellowship may
be used for international travel to collections vital to dissertation
research.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a U.S. or foreign graduate
program. One $1,250 fellowship will be awarded annually.
To apply, please mail one copy of each of the following items to the
committee members listed below:
1. A 2-3 page project description indicating the dissertation's significance
and including a statement of the major collection(s) to be examined
abroad and their relevance to the dissertation.
2. Two letters of recommendation, including one from the dissertation
advisor.
3. Current c.v. indicating language proficiency.
